After receiving intelligence that the ports have been breached, placing the Navy and the Gulf Coast in harm's way, Pride and the NCIS team follow every angle to determine what has entered their city and how they can put a stop to the Broussard Syndicate, who seem to always be one step ahead of them.
When Dwayne Pride finds the radio-controlled mortar he calls his tech team to find out how to disable the detonator electronics. Instead of doing this and giving the still unaccounted for terrorist time to trigger the device, it's patently obvious that he could have just knocked the mortar over or stuffed a rock into the barrel. Only afterwards should he have disabled the trigger to avoid a local explosion - or simply could have moved away as fast as possible since it was on a deserted island.
Brody: I am not taking no for an answer....Thank you. So, this was my sister's. Bought it from this Gypsy lady on our Europe trip; she said it was good luck. She never took it off. (Hands it to LaSalle) And now this will not get lost.
LaSalle: I can't.
Brody: You and Pride have been amazing to me. Made me feel like I'm home. And, uh I, uh I hadn't felt that since I lost her. So I would be honored if you would please wear this.
